《文化的變遷》是Peter最近的創(chuàng)作主題，來(lái)自中國(guó)，主要是針對(duì)一個(gè)處在文化極速變化國(guó)度的人像攝影創(chuàng)作。中國(guó)自的改革開(kāi)放以來(lái)，逐漸步入了現(xiàn)代文化當(dāng)中，世界范圍內(nèi)的圖片，廣告，以及一些極為微妙的東西都對(duì)她產(chǎn)生著巨大的影響。
PETER CUNNINGHAM has been a professional photographer in New York City for the last 30 years; his job has been to photograph musicians, actors, writers, children, brides, and businessmen, but his passion has been the creation of Still Films.
STILL FILMS are short films comprised entirely of still photographs and originally composed music; they express a variety of complex ideas. Using a triptych of three screens, Still Films tease relationships that are aesthetic, theological, or metaphorical into a lively narrative; they have been presented in New York, Tokyo, Paris, London, Krakow, and Beijing.About one of the films, award winning American playwright, Richard Nelson says,"Peter Cunningham's Still Film, Life On Earth, is a rare, extraordinary and beautiful work. A visual poem that constantly surprises and challenges us to see differently, think differently, and live differently. A complex human statement of our life and times."
CULTURAL EVOLUTION, is a portrait of a country in transition. From rule by the power of authoritarianism China is changing into a modern culture engaged in the world at large and strongly influenced by image, advertising, and the subtle power of persuasion.
